Set on 50 acres of farmland, Abbotsford Country House enjoys arguably some of the best views in the Barossa over vineyards, farming country and on to the Barossa Ranges.
Built in the Colonial Georgian style, with its magnificent homestead and two guest cottages, Abbotsford Country House is the perfect location for special occasions or that romantic night away (our first guest proposed to his girlfriend over the dinner table - she accepted!).
You might wish to play petanque or boule on the sunken lawn, enjoy a round of golf at a local golf course or take a walk to one of the neighbouring wineries. Whatever you choose, you won’t be short of things to do.
Sample some of the finest country cooking either for breakfast or dinner in the Dining Room prepared by Jane.Dinner is available by prior arrangement Wherever possible, only the freshest Barossan produce and ingredients are used.
At the end of the day,enjoy a glass of wine on the main homestead’s wide verandahs watching the sunset or take a romantic stroll over the property and take in the spectacular 360degree views.
Bring your own wine or choose from our extensive cellar, where we can offer everything from cleanskins to rare vintage Barossan classics. Naturally we also stock a range of beers which you will find in the honesty bar.

All the comforts and attention to detail
At Abbotsford Country House, you will findall the comforts and attention to detail one would expect to find at a fine country house. The crispest linen sheets, fluffy cotton towels and robes. Each suite and ensuite is designed and decorated to have an individual character yet still reflecting Australiian country style.
Each suite, named after prominent families in the Southern Barossa region, contains many antiques and pieces of furniture collected from Scotland and Australia as well as the Barossa and are individually decorated in smart fabrics and drapes. Its the little things that makes the difference between a hotel and a five star country house.
